Video card help AGP 2.0 or 3.0?
My computer recently got fried from a power surge so i got a new motherboard - (mckinnionmicro 760GX-M).
my old motherboard had its own on-board gfx card or at least some form of image related driver that i could play gunz and other games with just fine, but it appears this new one does not.
my problem lies in that i cannot figure out weather the "new" motherboard has a AGP2.0 or 3.0 slot in it. they both look the same but they use different voltages so i need to choose correctly but i do not know how to tell. any suggestions?
thanks

Re: Video card help AGP 2.0 or 3.0?
LOL happened to me.... get a surge protector.
it wil be 2.0 i dont think it would be 3.0
its easy to work out what voltage it needs... check the pins.
ur better off workin out whether it is 3.0 or 2.0
most graphics cards tell you which it is... and when i mean check the pins i think 3.0 uses 3 slots and anything else will only have 2
then again i cant remember exactly... thats just off the top of my head.

thanks for the help Ayikura, i managed to get it all sorted out and the electronics store. My problem wasn't with the cards it was with my motherboard, its new and i don't know anything about it lol! The pins or teeth w/e they are called are exactly the same with agp but my computer just happened to be 3.0 from the motherboard upgrade so 8x gfx for me yay
